Our daughter, Charlotte, absolutely loves being part of Voices Rising program. Not only has she made wonderful new friends, but she also looks forward to each practice with enthusiasm and excitement. The choir director, Melody, has created an engaging environment which fosters Charlotte's love for music, and we have noticed remarkable improvement in her vocal abilities. Watching her confidence grow and seeing her joy while performing is so much fun. The Voices Rising choir has been a fantastic experience for our family, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for music programming for their children.

If you love to sing, the Greater Moncton Chorale is the place to be! I love being part of this choir, and I look forward to each rehearsal. We sing, we laugh, we have fun, and we leave happy, light-hearted, and floating. Plus, everyone is so welcoming and friendly, you are guaranteed to make a friend, or two or more! The Greater Moncton Chorale is an impressive mix of younger and older singers, newcomers to Canada and long-time residents. I have been a member for more than a decade and always look forward to our weekly practices.

I am thrilled to share how being a member of the choir has positively impacted my 8-year-old daughter. Since joining, she has not only developed a beautiful singing voice but also gained an incredible boost in confidence. The choir has provided her with a supportive and encouraging environment where she feels valued and celebrated. It’s truly heartwarming to see her so enthusiastic and proud of her achievements. The choir has been more than just a musical activity; it has become a wonderful community that has fostered her growth, joy, and self-assurance.

I love singing with the GMC! Learning vocal techniques in an accessible and often humorous way is delightfully educational and hearing the voices of 100 other choristers immersing me in four- (or more!) part harmony is pure joy, balm for the soul, real-life magic, and, best of all, exquisite fun!

Choirs and performing have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. To me, there is nothing that compares to being a part of an ensemble that collectively teams together to produce a beautiful sound. The energy is infectious. Toss in some out-of-this-world musicians who accompany us….and we put on quite the show. 10/10 for the GMC!

Our daughter Faith joined Voices Rising this season to sing - and that she did! She also found a great group of new friends. Melody’s leadership and direction was warm and inviting and allowed our daughter to have a safe environment to grow and develop with confidence. Faith looked forward to the practices and was so thrilled to hear the finished product when the voices all came together to produce such beautiful harmonies! Their involvement in community events like the Kid’s Help Phone Walk gave the choir an opportunity to share their singing to make an important impact. Voices Rising- truly a fitting name as the children raise their voices to make our community a better place!

My experiences in the Voices Rising choir have been phenomenal. We learned a variety of songs and had a lot of fun performing them. Singing with the group has been really inspiring and confidence building - a wonderful time that built numerous friendships and memories that I can look back on fondly.

My 6-year-old daughter, Josephine, has absolutely loved being part of the Voices Rising Junior Singers! Under Melody’s wonderful guidance, she has found a passion for singing and music that fills our home with joy. Melody's teaching style is not only effective but also incredibly nurturing, making each practice session something Josephine eagerly looks forward to. The sense of community and the friendships she has built within the choir have been invaluable. We couldn't be happier with the positive impact this choir has had on Josephine's confidence and love for music.

This year’s Voices Rising was fantastic. It was very fun singing with other young people. I learned so much this year from our omnipotent conductor, Melody!

After having spent my life travelling and singing on stages around the globe, I arrived in Moncton and was looking for a way to connect to the music community here. I found GMC and have enjoyed getting to meet so many people who share my passion.
